Default next tc model?

when does the next tc model come out? I'm interested in getting one but i'm hesitant about getting one because maybe the next model will come out soon. I used the search function but i didn't see anything about a new model.

You are right--nothing has been posted that I have seen on a replacement for the tC. It is getting time though, based on Scion's logic. Keep an eye on concept cars.......

wouldn't 2009 make it five years since the tc has been first produced. I love the car but im overly anxious to see the next model.

That would be a five year model run---long for a Scion--but maybe they don't have anything in the works yet.

Default Possible tC replacement or new Scion/Toyota model

I was reading autoblog a while back and I saw this article about Toyota planning to reincarnate the famous AE86 Corolla. From the renders (if they are accurate) the styling is very reminiscent of the new xD's grille. Maybe Scion will get the new AE86 and call it the next tC?

The renderings do seem very tC like, and it seems unlikely that Toyota would want to compete with Scion directly, so it sounds like a strong possibility that the ae86 could bet he new tC.

Here are a couple different renderings found on Autoblog:

The first one looks like the offspring of a Civic 2-dr and an xD. It's not a bad looking car, just not very original looking. Well, whatever it ends up looking, I'm sure going to consider buying it if they keep the 12k price point.

That price is from yen to dollar converters. It will be more than that, for sure.

So much for the old "every three years" and "new completely different vehicle and name" garbage Scion spewed at the beginning. Look what they did to the xB. I just hope they don't repeat with the tC makeover.

this would qualify as a different vehicle since it will be rear wheel drive and will actually end up being better than the old tC because of the switch.

my GM was saying some time ago that he had been to a Toyota meeting and that the Fuse was going to be coming out in 08. A few months later he said that Toyota had postponed the release of the Fuse because they were having safety issues with the diablo doors. So, yea, the TC as we know it is more than likely going to be the Fuse and its more than likely going to be an 09...

Default I prefer

I would prefer a lightweight rear wheel drive like the speculated AE86 remake than the FUSE. It would be nice to incorporate some elements from both concepts together so that the final production piece is both fun to drive and stylish. Regardless, if Scion releases the FUSE instead of the AE86 remake that's fine. It just means the AE86 remake will be badged a Toyota. They seriously need a real sports car in their line up.
