Default supercharger for manuals only

dear scion when i heard that trd was bringing out a supercharger for tc i thought it was a good idea . but when it came out i noticed that is for manual transmisions only . what about us guys who drive automatics but want to gain some power what is out there for us???

yes, the SC is technically for manuals, but there are add-on kits for autos, just not everyone has em

You should consider the possibility that Toyota doesn't think the automatic will handle the extra power reliably. There is a good chance that is why it is offered in the manual only.

but the automatics engine and mechanics are the same as the manuals. plus aftermarket manufacturers ar making turbos available for the tc auto. now so there has to be a better reason then the auto cant handle it

I don't think Toyota is worried about the engine in the autos. I think it has more to do with the transmission.......and its ability to handle the extra power over time reliably. Also, aren't the gear ratios different in an auto? Maybe this has something to do with the extra wear and tear an auto would have to deal with.......????

Where could you find the after market parts?? and autos can take Super charges bcuz Grand National GOT ONE !!!

the automatic transmission in the tC should be more than capable of handeling 200bhp/170whp.

TRD please release thei kit soon, i know there are many autos out there who are praying for this thing to come out.

It will make you MONEY, and make us auto guys HAPPY!
