I got a normal looking business envelope in the mail from Scion today. I opened the envelope, pulled out a single sheet letter and began reading:
Very nice. I appreciate that they took the time to send me a letter acknowledging that I had to take my '05 tC in for a sunroof recall. I continue reading:
Very nice. Then, it gets to the good part:
The only thing in my envelope was this letter!?
I have no idea what a "JADA tC" is!?
Can anyone else who got this letter let me know what a "JADA tC" is. And, let me know how I can go about getting one?
(Any spelling mistakes that are in the quote are probably my fault, as I occasionally mis-type things.)
I am writing as a follow-up to the Special Service Campaign procedure that was recently performed on your tC. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected necessity for service. so i got on Scion.com and talked on the online chat and it was easy , i told the person i didnt recieved the JADA TC and he took my information and told me It should be getting to me asap , prob. next week somtime ... he also said it should be in a box and might ship separate .
maybe it drove out of the box ..put the box in the trunk and drove off .. lol

We appreciate everyone’s input regarding this issue and would like to take a moment to address everyone’s concerns. The Jada Toys tC is a gift from Scion as a special “thank you” to our customers who have been inconvenienced by having the repairs related to SSC 50S performed on their vehicles.
It has been brought to our attention that some customers have not received their Jada tC with their letter, and that the contact number on our letter is incorrect. These are issues Scion is now aware of and we are looking into this with our vendor. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post when we have updates to the situation.

Once I figured out that the ph.no. was wrong on the letter I called and spoke with Sonnie (a CSR), I pointed out to him that the number on the letter is 886 not the 866 it should be, he said it he would make sure those that needed to know knew...anyway, I was told by a CSR pretty much what is posted above...I got a case number to reference if something doesn't show up in the next week. I appreciate the replies above and the manner in which the CSR handled my call.

Seriously, sounds like Scion has a third party company handling this, and possibly a couple of errors were made: wording of the letter saying the tC was 'enclosed' rather than 'arriving separately' and the obvious tpyo with the phone number.
Seems as though HQ is now aware of the problem, and it will all be taken care of.
Relax for a bit and see what happens. :D

i still havent gotten my recall done yet but i planned on doing it on my next service. does that mean i will receive the jada tc for getting it done too??? i want one!!!
