September 19, 2006 – Venice, CA - Inside Out Community Arts recently accepted the donation of a new Toyota Sienna minivan from Toyota Financial Services (TFS) to help shuttle kids around the community to Inside Out events and transport art materials and costumes.

Already the vehicle - colorfully wrapped in the participating students' artwork - has benefited multiple children, including two wheelchair-bound students, who without the van would not have been able to attend a 3-day camping trip in the Santa Monica Mountains where more than 100 inner-city middle school students wrote original plays and enjoyed nature.

"Sometimes we really are dependent on the kindness of strangers," said Camille Ameen, co-founder of Inside Out. "I'm so glad that we were linked up with Toyota. Their generous donation will help many of our students get to and from our programs safely so that they can truly enjoy and learn about the benefits of art and the rich experiences it brings to all of our lives."

L.A. locals can witness an aspect of the organization's work first-hand this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at their annual Youth & Family Court to be held at the Abbot Kinney Street Festival in Venice at the Abbot Kinney/Westminster Elementary School. The Court will feature rides, games, staged entertainment, art and recreational activities.
