Yesterday afternoon I was on my way east through the Columbia River Gorge, about an hour or two out of Portland, when I spotted a car-transport semi heading toward me on the other side of the freeway. Sitting on the top of the trailer, nose-first, was the unmistakeable grill of a new Tundra. As the trick whizzed by I spotted three or four more trucks on the trailer.

Could these be vehicles for dealer training? Or maybe they are for test drives at area dealerships? I will find out!

 

Ah-HAH! Found out why. There is a private Ride & Drive event being held Dec 14-15 at the Portland EXPO. Probably for press, etc.

Darren, TMS is rolling out the training. The one you mentioned might very well be for the press. Down in the SE, our dealer ride and drives will begin in mid jan.
