Default Any thoughts about using Invision Board with RSS?

Being around other forums, I noticed how superior & clean other forums are. Particularly, the lack of RSS feed and easier mobile access are the two things I would like to see improve with the Scionlife board, whether through the current software or a better board.

A) there are plenty of free BBS apps out there that run on the same environment, why buy one?

B) do you have any idea what it would take to port this database to another application? that is not a small undertaking

good lookin out, tho!

I'd like to keep track of various threads via RSS. I know the news has RSS, though. Hopefully you guys can implement it w/o having to port everything over =)

There is a new version of THIS software coming out in the near future, with many upgrades, updates, and features we don't have now. ScionLife will be moving to that new release.

Many requested changes are currently "on hold" until this new release is available. Two of the reasons for this are not making drastic changes/hacks to the current version that will make conversion to the new version more difficult, and not wanting to waste effort twiddling hacks into what we have now, only to have them replaced by features already built into the new version.

Lastly, the new version will have a migration path to allow this massive database to be moved there without man-years of labor.

(I don't know if the new version supports RSS - I've heard it does, bu I have no confirmation.)
