I log in and then click on profiles and then the register for free button flashes and the login button lights up....

does this mean i cant have an avatar?

Probably means you arent accepting cookies from this site... It never thinks you're logged in until your computer KEEPS the cookie for the site

 

...and if your browser IS keeping the cookies, they may be messed up.

You probably need to delete your browser's cookie's (or at least the ones for scionlife.com), make sure your browser is set up to accept cookies, and log into www.scionlife.com - make sure you include the 'www.' - and you should be good!

you're a saint! Not sure why it did that ... though i could make posts just fine, just altering the profile wasn't working...but now it does (hence my avatar...
