how do u erase old messages that u dont need or are locked?

 

Like messages in your SL inbox? Check the box on the right and click the Delete Marked button at the bottom.

 

not the messages in the inbox. im talking about THESE messages after they get locked or no more answers. u know?

Why do you ask though? Are there things showing up in your My Posts page that you don't want to see anymore or something? B/c there's not much you can do about that. It is what it is...

Mods have the ability to delete posts/threads... but we don't go removing stuff that is locked or considered useless... eventually things just die off and get pushed far enough down that they aren't a concern.

Ya, I have a bunch of things in mine too that I don't care to see anymore... but just kind of have to deal with them.

 

Try hitting the red X on your post... or just edit it to show ... if its too late to delete.

 

You'll only be able to delete your own post if it's the last one in the thread. If someone replies after you, that red x goes away.

 

True. I actually like the ability to delete entire threads (that I created) on other forums where the delete function still stays active.

Regardless, I just usually put "....." and try to match the color to the background or whatnot. Or just leave it. I guess I just manually "erase" things if its still in the edit window.
