How many posts before pm?
Hello, new to the forums. I posted in the "i just bought a" thread.
Was searching for a "newbie" thread.... anyhow I was wondering if there was a certain amount of posts needed before you can send private messages?

I dont think there is a requirement...in fact you can test it by PMing me
However its 50+ posts before you can post in the classified sections I believe.
Im not going to be a d!ck about it, but this thread may help you out if you havn't found it yet. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15164

Yeah, I read all stickys. I should have clarified. ....
I have already sent a pm to a member who lives in the same city as me but when I check my box it comes up stuck in "outbox" instead of "sent". Usually like an email (outlook) outbox means it needs to go out but hasnt yet. .. does it change to sent once the member actually reads it??
Maybe im just a moron..??!
Ill send you one.

Lol your not a moron. Its in the outbox b/c the person hasn't read it yet. Atleast that's how it seems to work for me. As soon as they log on and check their messages it'll move from your oubox to sent box.
PMs stay in the out box till sent in most forums I am on.
As for being a new person and PMing others here.....I think you should......I PM people all the time asking about things on their cars.......that is how you get the best answer..........you have to ask.
I'm pretty new here myself.......only like a month into it.........first thing to do is read.........write down a plan for your car........body motor....interior......wheels......then hunt it down........fact is smebody here has done it.......and you can see if it works or not.

Welcome to the forums, Kyle. :D
Sent PMs stay in your Outbox until the person you sent them to actually reads them, then they move over into your Sentbox. As long as your PM is still in your Outbox, you can edit it and/or delete it before the other person sees it.
There is no required number of posts to send PMs, but there is a 50 post minimum to become a full SL Member and be allowed to start a topic in the classifieds or to post in the Off-Topic Cafe.
If you have any forum questions that aren't answered by poking around in the stickys or a doing a quick search, this forum right here, Website Discussion is the place to ask.
If you have any questions about rules and such, the [RULES] button up near the top of the page has the really important stuff.
Take care!
