Default is it me or does the new SCIONLIFE format blow?

I have tried to get used to the updated SCIONLIFE format but I can't. I just straight up hate it. I find myself not visiting it much anymore. I think that the windows, boxes and fonts are too big and bubbly. It seems seem as fast and zippy, rather big fat and lumbering. Just me

I think it is just you. I mean there is obviously some adjustment, but if you're not willing to accept it at all or give it a try, then there's not much we can do about that.

Not to mention there was no choice in the matter.

Considering Allan (ack) is a super mod, I'd say no. Considering it's our job to run the site.

Look at it this way: how many people cried foul when Scion redesigned the xB2? It's like that. It'll grow on you, if you give it a chance.

The SL OGs and prolific posters stick around. It's the new people or the lurkers who tend to shy away after any change.

There are of course some things I like better about the old version but also some thing that are nicer about this version... but like Ian said, I really don't spend too much less time here. Probably at least the same, if not more to get more acquainted.

Has there been an official vote? I'm not trying to be starting a flame war or anything. I couldn't figure out how to add a pole to this thread. But maybe we should have a poll that goes "Do you like the redesigned site" Yes or No.

Longboard, as Allan mentioned above, there was really no choice in the matter - ScionLife.com was going to be moved to new software and it was our job to make the best of it we could.

I think much of the change is good and worthwhile, but there are things that I miss, and I keep pushing to get changes made.

The new ScionLife.com is still in Beta mode, not everything works, not everything is finished. None of the existing information from the "old" ScionLife.com was lost in the move, but it does take some work to figure out where it is now.

(BTW, a poll will really accomplish nothing - there is no going back to the way ScionLife used to be - that is not and never was an option. The best we can do is to try to work together to make what we have better.)

While I'm not really used to the new format, I have to admit that it sure loads slower.

Yea, I've noticed that SL 2.0 does send out a TON of queries before loading a page.
