Default request

I am looking for a mod/darren himself to clean up the parts section... I have realized now that i have been on multiple websites that scionlife has a very important role to us tuners... a central hub!

i have noticed a lot of stuff out of date in the parts section... the greddy turbo kit has been out for almost a year, yet it still shows that same stfu pic, and someone asking when it comes out. Both the e-manage units do not exist in fuel management. I understand it takes someone who has the kit to review it, but the whole thing seems like nobody has touched it for months!

perhaps there needs to be a little motivation for people to submit reviews? maybe when someone types a part into search, the top of the page could prompt that it exists in the part section, to increase visibility? maybe the site has become so big that scionlife mods could request test parts from manufacturers for non-bias reviews (if it is good product, i am sure they wont mind having mods sing praises)?

what is the point of having the biggest scion community if the newbs dont have a source to find opinions on parts without starting the hundreth turbo opinions thread...

just a request, not a demand...

hmm yeah some stuff is out of date on that... . the freebies thing is an interesting concept... you'd have all 30K+ members tryin to get inline to get the part to review too..lol...

over all interesting concept on the review part... and yes the parts section could use a bit of updating

i, of course, am not going to state a problem without offering my services to the mods. Once clean, any part I have installed on my car will be reviewed by me personally. Gotta help out those newbs!

I like the way this guy thinks.

thank you, that means a lot... from a mod no less... jump into my profile and look at my car. I am DAMN proud of it. I knew nothing about modding before I joined this forum. Thanks to all the members willing to take me under their wing and teach me, I have learned so much. I know which parts I want to put into my car.

I just want to make sure that this site can evolve so that new scion owners can continue to use the network this site provides. I had to sift through hundreds of threads to find out what owners thought of the parts they purchased. I want for it to be easier for the next generation of scionlifers.

a "wikipedia- like" member area about scions where scionlife folk can add to the database...kind of like icdedppl's faq but with input from everyone willing to contribute. i'll link a website that uses wiki contributions.

Although something like that would require a bit of maintanence work itself, I'd like to participate.

I am going to update the site soon, and each person's profile will reflect the amount of effort they have spent on the various user-contributed areas of the site. I think this will add some extra incentive for people to invest time in the areas that need attention.

I agree that it does need some help, and I hope to get the parts area updated soon so that it will be easier to fix the mistakes, etc.
