So I just clicked a link that brought me to this thread and it logged me out...

That's a little irritating. I'm seriously missing the mouseover to reveal the nested menus... that was a huge navigation breakthrough. This site is a little sloppier to navigate.

Do you know the link that caused the "log out" per chance?

Regarding the menus we will look into it tomorrow.
Thanks!

keeping it simple yet clean. removing the "senior member", "SL member". condense the banners, showing toy drive supporter, premium member then post bar all pretty close to each other and not much spaced out. dont think its necessary to have my screen name twice on the side there, i know the smaller one shows my profile picture with my mods and whatnot? is this worth a shot?
Let me toss something in here...

Where is says "SL Member" is also where any club affiliation should show (and not everyone is an "SL Member" You don't get to that point until you have been here at least 14 days AND have at least 50 posts to your credit).

If you want a "join date" you can already get the "joined year" by hovering over the post count red stripe. (Exactly as it was in the old SL.)

There is actually a reason for the name being there twice - the big one up top ties into the new profile and gallery, the smaller one below ties to all the vast amount of registry data from the old system. It's the only we could do this move without losing a LOT of data from the old version. (I know, I don't like it, either, but for now we are stuck with it if we want to keep that information.)

This isn't the absolute final "way things will be," It is the "best that could be managed" in the time everyone had.

It WILL get better. :D

Um... OT posts are counting towards post counts. That's gonna be a problem.

Hey, Cory, how's it?

I just changed the posts per page to 20 so all the legacy stuff that referred to "page three" or whatever will still make sense (besides, 10 was way too few).

Not sure how we can get 'round that one Ian, but we do need to fix if we can.

Fixed, sorry, didn't know about that.
Any other forums outside of the "general" area that don't count towards post count?

The topmost level mouses over, but the sub forums don't pop out when someone hovers over the main forums because they don't know they are subforums yet...

For example, if one hovers over forums, then moves doen to hover over Regions, a next level down menu of the regions should pop out. (Hope that made sense.)

lol. take it easy man. just take a little time and surf around the new layout. it's not all that bad. I'm getting used to it and only after30 minutes. it's just like anything else that changes in life. learn it, and love it.

Adrian- how about different colors for the screen names? have a set color for the Mods, premium members, gold members, silver members, and so on and so forth..? it would make it easier to identify people that way. also, is there anything you can do about all the bright white background? it really hurts my eyes. I'm with Scikotics and their forum is very similar to this lay out. the BG there is Black with orange font. maybe try a dark BG with lighter colored font. other than that it is looking good.
