I'm sure that once they figure out what they did that caused the problems, Adrian will give a much better explanation of what the problems were.

For now it appears they are still trying to figure out what caused the problems.

At least we are back "on-the-air", even if we are running unbelievably slowly at times.

Hang in there.

Well there were a number of concerns, we found the main culprit which was a script that was causing corruptions in the database.

This was doing a couple of things, one, generating the php errors you were seeing, but also it was overloading the database and causing the slow load times.

We are 99% certain that the issues (both this script and a couple of other concerns) have been rectified, and our monitoring of loading pages on the site from various locations indicate the page load speed should be good.

Let us know if thats not the case in your part of the world and we will investigate further.

Our apologizes for the inconvenience.

If you don't mind me asking - when did you get the last PHP error?
Thanks!

Adrian, was that problem "script" something surreptitiously placed by an unknown, or was that script something purposely added by Internet Brands for some purpose?

If so, what was the purpose?
How long ago was it added?
Was it one of the doubleclick, jbrlsr, postrelase, or analytics scripts?

ok - let me know if you have the same problems again - the issues around 10pm last night are when we finally fixed the problem we found.

From what I understand (bear in mind I am not a tech person here) is that the script existed on the server was associated to another site hosted on the same server and specifically associated with the search function on this other site.
It wasn't associated with Scionlife, but for some reason it was causing a corruption with phpBB.

Still seems to be working. Slow sometimes, but for the most part it is better than it has been for at least a month.

Wonder what in all they've done besides kill that script they installed on the server that was eating us alive?
