UPDATE 2:45 PDT / 02JUL09 - Resynch completed but failed to correct any of the problems.

Internet Brands trying to figure out why there is a problem (no comment) and doing their best to get the problems fixed.

You WILL be seeing assorted failures as they try to work on this.

(It is about like trying to rebuild a motorcycle while roaring down the freeway on it at 90MPH...)

I will put up more details here as I hear about them.

Internet Brands will attempt to resynch any moment now.

Site may go down during resynch.

ScionLife.com may be out of service, or responding very, very slowly at times during the night of 01JULY09 because of database maintenance.

Internet Brands techs will be "resynchronizing" the site and it's data to end the problem of new pages of multi-page topics not showing up correctly at times.

Hopefully by tomorrow morning ScionLife.com will be running normally again.

God i hope this fixes the PHPbb issues...Although I'm skeptical on resynchronizing tools in PHPbb, it may only patch some issues. They need to move to a new dedicated server that is not shared with other hosted sites.

 

Especially when they put scripts on the server that are supposed to work with the other site's search function and those scripts cause MASSIVE database errors in the ScionLife.com database for three weeks before they figure out why we are totally hosed.

I'm not sure we have ever recovered from that disaster, since ScionLife.com hasn't yet worked right again since they did that.



That discussion's for another time, though.

Let's just hope for the best tonight.

hmmm, who could of ever guessed the resync was going to do nothing. lol.

What they really need to do is go over their settings and MySQL settings to make sure their data packets entry is up to par as this Database grows in size. If they do not change it from the default of 1mb, the site will continue to suffer due to large amount of queries being done.
