Sick of a mixed thread of xB/xA? POLL VOTE!!
 

Been on my mind for MONTHS! but I figured it was a played out subject considering I never saw a post since I been here on it. I jsut get really annoyed when I go to Scion xA Owners Lounge and I see all the sub links/ then I see "new Turbo!!" and just when I am crazy exited about the xA's getting a decent NEW Turbo by greddy or something I look and notice it's an xB posting.

I mean the new xD has there own separate forum, why can't we? I am irked by this. But can of course accept nothing changing or anyone really caring cause I said something. You can be wrong it's ok :)

SL Bosses! Please give us our own little section without a xB mix up? :bow: :bow: :bow:

I agree I feel the same way I see something in the xA forums like NEW INTERIOR or NEW FIBERGLASS SUB BOX I click and BAM its an xb =\

I agree with you Infini, I think the xA owners should have their own section.

If I get enough responses I will put up a poll since I could not do it here for some reason after I posted. I guess it was already too late to add the poll.

but i'd perhaps try to email the admin, as they aren't able to check the site as much as they would like.. and it'd be the fastest way to contact them.

Well I am sure it will be a mix of people that do and don't. I stated my reasons for wanting it separate. It's ok to feel differently :)

i asked about it a couple years ago i tried finding it but its long gone :roll:

Thanks, and I wanted to say I know that it just might not be possible to do this even if the admins wanted to. It might take too much work at this point.

I myself am willing to help with what ever technical issues I can like transferring threads but in the end it has to be wanted, but also realistic. I hope so and I hope it's easy for them to do.

^^x2 it's annoying to go to the xA Aero/ext section, and get excited when you see a thread called "Check out my new Carbon hatch" only to find out that it's an xB owner.

Yeah but over and over and over and over on many. many subjects and sections. Just happened to me yesterday.

Well I think this thread has sort of lagged due to being out of site of the xA area. Should I post a thread/link to here??

Just wanted to request that people that are for this please write PM's to the admins about your needs.

Can a mod sort of push this on to the admins. I think this thread is going puff up in smoke cause there has been no word or progress. No one with any real means to do anything about this issue has said a word.

If it can't be done or wont can they say so? Than I can jsut move on and not volunteer my time trying to help the xA people on this site :)

Also on a side note it would have been nice to get a PM from SL or a post there saying that it could not be done, or that it would not be done cause it was too much work. I can't help but feel a bit blown off and disappointed. But life goes on, no biggy.

OK, the example that was given in the first post was legit... the interior forum should probably be split up since the interiors are different on the two cars, but on engine/drivetrain, forced induction and suspension/wheels do you really think they should be split? I mean, the two cars are virtually identical under the skin so it makes sense to combine information on the related forums.

The xD is different in many ways than the new xB, that is why their forums are not combined.

If I split the ICE/interior forums would someone volunteer to spend some time moving topics from the current combined forum to the new forum? I'm looking for one person that will make a commitment to go through ALL the pages of topics to move the relevant ones over.

Give me your thoughts.

The only thing is when you see a need threw in the xa/xb forum us egg owners get excited only to see it for the xb......

my only problem is some expensive mistakes can be made when people assume the suspension if 100% the same or the Engine bay is the same. Even some wheel well issues are different.

But if all I can get for us is to separate stuff for the int/ice I will take it :) Can you PM me with what will be needed to start working on this process? Also how much time do you need committed each week.

OK, gimme til the beginning of next week to get some free time to make the split. I'm still considering splitting EVERYTHING, but I'll make the final call next week. Since both of you guys are volunteering to do the moving I will probably let both of you work together.
