Darren,
I can understand a thread or post of mine being deleted for breaking one of the rules, but no rule was broken.
I started a thread "taek's tc?" And "WeDriveScions" deleted it, and posted this on another thread that was previous "locked" at least twice:
So you deleted my thread!?! You could have just locked it.
So what rule did I break to cause you to delete it!?!
I'd like to know?
On this thread:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie....php?p=1294843
No PM was sent from "WeDriveScions" w/ an explanation of which rule was broken.

LOL, by the response the MOD posted, it appears to be a case of preferential treatment. Typical behavior of a few certain mods so I don't see getting an explanation. And the thread violated none of the "posted" rules.
Not the first time a MOD has been "upset" w/ me because of thier actions.

Here's one response from Tim:
My response:
So taek has preferential treatment then!?! So when did that become a rule? Its not listed.
AND this thread was LOCKED, so I started another one.
Other MODS would just lock a duplicate thread and post a link, but OBVIOUSLY from the comments YOU have mad, you ARE giving taek preferential treatment.
taek had plenty of time to post pics of his tC prior to the time I posted the pics I had posted. But this is typical of this site and I fully understand your opinion/point of view.
And since when did an insurance company become a sponsor?
And Tim's last response:
The pics I posted weren't even the same ones taek posted, plus the thread was locked by Tim when I made my thread.
Other MODs would have just locked my thread since there were a few responses already.
I'd still like see, in writing, which rule was broken thus justifying why my thread was deleted when the original thread was locked.
Or is this just another MOD making up the rules as we go along?

He deserved to show it off himself... in his thread... so that's what the other was deleted... It shows the same pics, and says the same issue... why have two?

Cleaning things up and keeping one post is just fine.... locked or deleted...
It's a picture of taek's car.... and taek wanted to show us himself... so it's just fair that he gets to...
IF you want a debate, bring it to PM's....
Back on topic please.

A rule doesn't neccessarily need to be "Broken" to delete a thread.... there are many deleted threads every day, in which questions have been asked many times or duplicate a thread and PM's are sent discussing it.
Taek had led up in the last six days to a reveal, in which he wanted to personally reveal his ride and modifications to us online on SL.
It was locked up to the point of his reveal, as I felt it was innapropriate to post 4 pages of leadup and tempting fellow members prior to showing something, which I spoke to taek about and said I would unlock the post when he was ready to post his pictures, which he agreed with. He agreed to post pictures and info when he asked me to please unlock it primarily, which I took in good faith, and which failed to happen, so it was locked until he was going to post real info or pictures, in which he agreed to fully, on Saturday night.
In the interest of fairness to him, and the idea of keeping his reveal to one post, I deleted the thread that was posted prior to me contacting him and getting his post online. Which consisted of your 1 post and Taek's response, stating that he wished to post it, but was awaiting my unlock, which was completed just following that post.
I'd do the same for others, as I feel it was done in the best ideas of fairness... and with complete integrity....
You have the full ability to post comments and pictures in his thread, which would be absolutely fine...
It's your right to dissagree, but I do feel that my actions were done appropriately and in the interest of fairness. and I believe that is appropriate merits to delete one post.

taek wasn't the only who responded, and my pics weren't even the samne as the ones taek posted. And not even the common courtesy to tell me about the deletion. I understand, MODs are protected here and those who voice otherwise are placed on the "watch" list. Yes, I know about the comment section also.
Its all good, I'm beginning to understand the mentailty of tC owners more and more now.

Please, if you have any more issues, please email them to darren. He, you, and I can discuss them more openly in a private forum...
I have fully discussed the reasoning behind the decision and it would be more appropriate to discuss your concerns privately, as I feel more can be done there.
Please PM me if you have any more to comment on, or Email Darren privately and allow him to establish a perspective as well...
We all try to be as fair as possible, and I fully apologise for not notifying you immediately of my actions, which I hope you will accept.
I personally have nothing against you and agree with your perspectives many times... and regret I never met you at SNII.
I'll do what I can to help you in your concerns in the future and to avoid a situation in which you feel you've been taken advantage of, or your posts were improperly addressed. Let that be my commitment to you...
Any more needs... please PM me.

mMm i think scionlife is too big , its so easy to have little battles like these.
how come no one likes to stick it to private messagings or Emails. Saying out things like these is somewhat rude, it is kinda like a personal matter, should be kept through PRIVATE MESSAGING. keyword PRIVATE. not PMing is almost a sense of lack of respect.
its almost like we hate each other and are trying to ruin each other's reputation through the public. we're not celebrities..
we're all just trying to do our job or provide to the community.
Also, enough aobut the spoiler, and viniati. THere was a huge miscommunication and flaws in both of our parts as sponsor, and sponsoree. Everything is taken care of.
anyways ,just my 2 cents

Robyn and Brad, all Mods don't see every thread - I had not read any of taeks thread prior to this thread asking questions about a deleted topic. We don't see or read everything - some Mods actually have real lives, believe it or not, and there is too much here to keep up with.
As to the pot shots at Mods, the rules, the way things are done, and "how things go around here sometimes," many of those are best left unsaid, or taken up privately with the Boss, Darren, if they are really that serious.
From the perspective of a person not involved AT ALL with the actions being railed against, the purpose of this thread feels more like it is intended to disrupt the site and cause dissention, than it is to understand the action or resolve an actual problem.
You asked, you got a legitimate answer, you continued to gripe about the answer. If what you were told does not satisfy you, take it private - don't throw a tantrum like a spoiled child, and don't try to get others involved.
I suspect this thread is being left open so Darren will see it, and comment as he may feel is necessary, otherwise it should be locked.
(Personally, I would warn folks for breaking one of the rules you keep pounding sand about, and that would be going on and on about a Mod's decision. Those are final, and if you think they are wrong, take it up with Darren, don't try to create trouble with a series of inflammatory public posts.)
Brad, Robyn, this tirade ends now. This thread is open until Darren responds, but if you have anything further to add, take it private.
====
(As an aside, what puts a person on any sort of informal 'watch list' is often the amount of extra time and effort it constantly takes to handle problems they create or somehow end up in the middle of. From a Mod's perspective, trying to manage a site with as many posts and members as this one has, people get warned for breaking rules, 'not playing well with others,' or creating problems. Most folks understand after only one warning, and don't cause any more problems. Some it takes two. If a user creates a problem a third time, a Mod will often consider that the person either can't or won't learn, and to prevent having to constantly spend their time (which is voluntary and uncompensated) dealing with that person, will ban them from the site. There are thousands of people here, most don't cause problems or need extra time and attention. Imagine how difficult, time consuming, and frustrating running the site would be if every member created as much extra work as 'those few' do.)

Tomas, go ahead and lock this then. If Darren who holds to his ways, then I know what his response will be then.
I guess there's no such thing as common courtesy anymore.
I asked a simple question of why it was deleted and not locked, and under what rule.
I did not ask for anyone's opinion other than Darren's. Isn't that what the Website discussion is for? So others may chime in also.
I hold no grudge against taek or Tim, heck I never even met them.
Please lock.
Thank you.
