Default "Watching" topics

Hi, Boss.

For a long time, now, the server has been randomly dropping topics from my 'watch' list, and I only find out that there have been like two new pages of posts when I happen to see the topic in a search.

This is exceedingly annoying, and makes it very difficult to monitor topics in any consistant way.

The last time this was brought up, we were told to wait for the new release, IIRC, so I guess my question is twofold: (1) Is there any chance this problem has been addressed in the forum forum, and (2) Any idea how far out the new release is?

Thanks,
Tomas

i suspect the query has an 'age clause' that essentially looks at all watched topics where dateCreated < x days

Except, for me, it is MUCH more often that NEWER and very active "watches" are the ones that get summarily dropped.

In other words, the ones I most need to keep track of.

...and THIS one just spontaneously dumped out of my 'watched' list for the fifth time.

Just lost most of my recent regional and Miami winner 'watched' topics. It is nearly impossible to decently track and respond to topics when the 'watch' on them keeps dropping off and I only find out there are numerous posts to them if I hunt them down one-by-one.

Suggestions? Fixes? Work-arounds? Kind words? Better meds?

Here's another example: I posted in this topic, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=147902 and have been getting notices of new posts up to this morning. All of a sudden, between my last notice at 0828 and the post made at 1203, my 'watch' of that topic was dropped. I clicked to watch it again, so we'll see how long it sticks. (I've been trying to watch that one to keep it from running off the rails.)

Sorry Tomas, but we are going to live with it until the new software is released. Should be VERY soon. This will solve many of the little bugs in our current forum software.

(probably will introduce new ones, too!)
