You'd have to be more specific... but the thing is, if there aren't a ridiculous amount of posts for something now, there probably isn't going to be a whole forum for it.

This might be a good idea, where one thread could track the life of a project car. Might help clean up some of the look at my new wheel posts, and look at my new stock car posts.

I don't know. I kinda disagree.

I don't think it will stop ANY of the "look at..." or "check out my..." threads. Most of those posts aren't really project cars, they're just "here's what i did..." cars.

Now if someone is making an all out show car or race car or something like that... sure it would be a good spot. But I just don't think we have enough of those types of builds to warrant and entire forum - when the owner's lounges really could do the job.

I am on another forum that does that. I dont really like it because once a thread has been around for awhile and its not interesting to me I wont check back. So if someone has a car i dont particularly like, then somehow upgrades in to 300000 hp...I will never see it because i didnt like it to begin with.

Having the..hey I added" " ..... threads lets people look and see specific upgrades.

it may work, but it would probably get the same WEAK amount of attention that the 'sticky: I'm so excited i got a new..." and then the rest of the forum is still littered with 'hey, I can't read but I just got a new..." posts

OTOH - if there was a history built into the profile - that might be extremely effective if a teaser to the latest entry was automatically appended to the signature!

I only create new areas when there is a need for them because of a large number of posts. I think that it would be more appropriate to start a topic about your buildup in the forum for your model of car, then update that topic when you make changes. That would be the easiest way to track the progress anyway. Sorry, no new area.
