Cruise Control Adjustment
#41
Does adjusting the C.C. switches help with the following:
My CC seems to hold speed okay. but when driving and setting the CC speed, it wants to lose at least 5mph when I take my right foot off before it kicks on and gets me back up to where I set it at. Meanwhile traffic closes fast from behind.
(I have a 5-spd)

^^^Yes mine used to do that prior to the adjustment. Now it engages right away and stays where you set it. I still have a problem occasionally when you have to hit the set button a second time cause it didn't register the first time.

Man, I should have found this months ago. I've been vexed with crappy cruise performance since the day I drove it off the lot... slows down 5mph as soon as you set it and may or may not speed up and bogging way down going up a hill then WOT over the top ending up 5 - 10mph over what you set it at. Now do I want to brave the 17 degree weather here or wait a few days?

Be brave and try the
On On 3 Most sensitive
position and let us know how it goes. I have mine in the 2 (next most sensitive) and it works tons better that it was after install, but I have been tempted to try the "3" and see how that does. Mine does get a little behind on hills compared to other cruises I have used.

xBs new could get dealer installed cruise control made by Rostra. I think the units are still available. Might want to check at the dealer or maybe on ebay.
