Those rubber thingies are a b%#%# on a brand new Scion!!! I was under my car for god knows how long trying to pry the stock exhaust hangers out of there, so my advice, is lube the crap out of them!!

Default DC Sport muffler

Did your DC Sport muffler come with 2 inserts (silencers) like my RS 2.0s did. I use the larger of the silencers to give it a good tone, and yet isn't too loud on long trips. Have tried the quiter one, but didn't like it. Could run it without, but is a little too noisey for me. Also keep an eye on the welds on the muffler. Some of us RS 2.0 owners have had the tips break off because of faulty welds. There is a post about it with photos of where to look. Mine is still OK, while another local RS 2.0 has had to have his replaced. Other than that, I love the sound of mine.

Is the problem of faulty welds only with the special RS exhausts or all DC Sports exhausts.

I have one coming and reading this is a real bummer.

Thanks for the install instructions!!!!

Default DC sport exhaust

The only ones I remember right off hand were the RS ones.

My DC came with no silencers. I wonder if I could get a silencer and if it would fit?

I just got it installed at Meineke in Ramsey NJ for 80 bucks today!

The owner did the job and he liked the slant on the exhaust.

He did suggest I replace the clamp and gasket for the rear muffler assembly.

He said everything was fine (under 7k miles) but if I got the clamp and gasket then he would put them in free.

I guess thats helpful for any future problems with melting bumpers?

My bolt is rusted to the clamp, I can't even get that off.

Hi, I just installed DF210's and I have the DC Sports Exhaust SCS6401. My question is: does anyone have this setup or a similar setup? When I make right turns on certain roads/driveways the exhaust seems to make a painful noise, like its flexing the exhaust, but its not scrapping. Any help? Thanks in advance!

That sounds similar to what I'm having.

I hear a sound when I go over bumpy pavement, I have no idea what it is though.

I have the same setup pretty much, but S-Techs, for almost 2 years, no noise like that at all. It started when you installed the springs? are you sure it's coming from the exhaust?

There's a sound coming from the middle to rear area and only when the springs move up and down. It's really hard to explain.
