sorry if this has been asked already. But i couldnt get a clear answer.
What are signs of a dirty maf sensor?
When do you have to clean it?
Can i just use electronic cleaner?
How can i visually see if its dirty

1: a check engine light? poor gas milage? rough idle?

2: Never? unless you over did it with the filter oil...

3:sure but they do sell a milder MAF cleaner for 6$

4: you can't the element on our MAF is a bit up inside the housing.

Never had to clean the MAF sensor, but read a thread a while back where someone said clean it with Throttle Body Cleaner and let air dry. (Most electronic spray cleaners will leave a residue behind - and some will eat whatever plastics they touch - that I know for a fact.)

The TB cleaner is nasty bad for your health, so make sure you're either outside or have good ventilation going before you spray.
