Default Hows the heat in the Car?

last night here in NY, it got kinda cold, so i actually had the heat on for the first time in about 5 months, and i was wondering, how well the heat worked in the TC, the heat in my car sucks, it takes awhile for it to get Warm, but then its ok after that..

Default Heat

Tried it this morning. Warmed up pretty quickly, about the same as my old camry. Of course today was only 50's or so. The real test is when its sub 30's which, as the Almanac predicts, is gonna happen a lot this winter.

I just picked up my SSM AT last Friday. The AC is cold, the vents do not move, there *was* a tiny bit of condensation in the headlights but I havent gotten them to do that again. No popping as of yet *knock on wood*. There are little white spots in the glass, but thats just how tempered glass is, it's barely noticeable, looks kinda cool if you ask me... and they should be hardly visible once I tint. The door for the head unit is a little iffy, but it opens 90% of the time with a good quick push down the middle, I have no complaints with it.

But as for YOUR question, the heat is great, the car's engine warms up in less than a minute of driving around (drive it around, don't sit in it and idle, so it says in the manual).

*edit*

Figured I'd throw in all the other extra information incase you were wondering.

Hey, how did you fare during Ivan? Having lived there I was talking to some friends and I saw some pictures of Hamiltons being demolished and the beach all eroded.

Yeah, the heat is great, much better than my '96 Tercel or '93 MX-3, both of which had ok heat. Not nearly as good as a Saab or Volvo, but I wouldn't expect them to be. I'd say my tC is on par with other cars made for cold climates. I'm sure the location of the first cat has something to do with it. Plus it's a modern engine that's designed to heat up very quickly.

haha. Seriously. We're still getting heat in the 90's with the heat index around 96-98 and humidity is a _____. I haven't even begun to think about wanting it to be hot. I'm trying to find ways to cool down!

But seriously, there was one night that it was a little cool, and when I turned the **** to make it a little warmer, it did so in no time. Nice and tosty if you ask me. I'm sure that it'll be great in the winter (after the car heats up). My '02 Corolla was great after about 2 minutes of the car running. I'm sure the tC will be better.

Default AC Stinks

Tried it last night. It definitely heats up FAST. I just wish the AC was as good. It works and all but its definitely weaker than some of the other Toyota's I've driven.
