Lets put some 1/4 mile times up here
Hey all let's post up some 1/4 mile times but just don't put the time's down tell every one what you have that makes your car that fast.
Lets also put some drag racing down like what cars you guys or girls have went up against. tell us if you won or lost also don't be ashamed if you lost cause you can tell other people what not to go up against and give other people some pointers and also tell them how to be a better driver. It doesn't matter if you win or loss to me as long as you are having fun.
Enough said so lets get started!!!

Up here in denver (bandimere speedway) cars are running real slow, about a full second slower. I ran a 16.8 as my best time (5-speed, '07, stock except for HKS axleback). I witnessed another '06 tC with Injen CAI, and the Dezod Street power exhaust 5-speed, run a 16.7. I've also seen a tC auto run a 17.3...High elevation sucks!
I traded in my automatic tC for a Manual last friday and put on my megan axleback. I was going to put the full cat on before I ran it, but I couldn't get the damned midpipe off with the tools I had at the time.
Ran it on saturday with just the axleback and ran times of 16.2, 16, and my personal best of the night was a 15.6
This was also on a bad track where I didn't get much if any traction through first or second, and in pretty muggy weather. I'm waiting for a nice chilly, non-humid night to take my car over to the NHRA approved dragstrip down here and see if I can salvage another tenth or two. The full cat-back should be on by then too.

i think the best N/A time anybody on here got was 14.9. sounds pretty quick to me. i want to run my car just for the hell of it. if it get under a 15.8 i'll be happy since all i have so far is an intake.
14.96 @ 91.XX is mine
injen cai, MMW header/spipe, custom catback, nst pullies, etd, azeni's rubber, yeah i think that's about it
ooo no spare, but i never run with a spare tire, so it's not like i took it out just for the track.

I went to the track for my first time ever yesterday and the fastest I could go was a 16.7 which was upsetting because there was another tC there running 15.7. I think my slower time is because I need to work on fast launches and also its hard to shift when I'm pushing it so hard. On my first pass I missed 2nd and grinded it a lot :-(, that sucked. After that I took it a bit easy when it came time to shift. I dont know if its because I just need to work on my timing or if it is because I put in a clutch bump stop to get rid of the distance from when the clutch pedal is fully depressed to engagement, maybe I cant disengage enough for such high rpms... thoughts?

When I first started on the strip, I used to grind 2nd or 3rd a lot. My timing got better with time. A short-shifter might help that too (I don't have one though). Once in a while I still grind second or third while on the quarter, but rarely.
I have doc I's short shifter, It was great on the track. Really my biggest question is if my bump stop might have contributed to my missing second, I wonder if my clutch doesnt disengage enough to shift so fast under such hight torque... I've never had problems like that before, butn then again I've never been flooring it in every gear before.
