Default Not happy with my bass... need advice

No, not the fish... I've been rocking a budget Memphis pr12 sub with a tsunami db1100 amp and the amp recently took a dump. I need to replace the amp and I was thinking that i'm not real satisfied with the bass i've been getting. Given that the xb is a hatchback type vehicle with no real trunk - it's harder to get a real bumpin' sound. Can someone give me some suggestions for a system you can hear from blocks away but reasonably priced? I'm not cheap but let's be realistic... i work for a living.

I should have mentioned... I already have an elemental designs component set and 2 channel amp. This is just for a mono amp and sub suggestion.

Best thing to do is buy some higher quality subs and a matching amp. Match the RMS wattage not the MAX wattage. Second getting an amp with adjustments is great for tuning to the freq that you want to hit the hardest.

Also if you want to keep room in your trunk and still have great clean bass then i would go with a sealed box. Make sure you get a box that is built to exact specs of the subs. The engineers did not make those specs for the heck of it!

Lastly check out my site. I have a full list of pioneer and clarion subs and amps at this moment. Alpine mtx rockford and kicker will all be hopefully up tonight. I carry most of those companies amps and subs.

If i can be of any other help let me know
