i have a simple 10in sub set up with an amp and for some reason its pulsing when im not playing music and it keeps doing it when i am playing music
its a really slow pulse like as fast as a heartbeat.....i dont get it...someone help

Disconnect the inputs, does it still do it with only +ve,-ve, and signal hooked up? How about if you remove the signal wire (the remote, or turn-on wire from the HU)? Does it matter if the engine is running or not?

In other words, what have you tried or tested to find the cause?

 

Sounds to me like a bad ground, where is your ground going?

 

i am also wondering bout the ground

 

well i havent really tried anything i havent had too much time...maybe tomorrow i will try to see whats wrong. i dont know anything about sound systems really i just had it installed like 4 months ago and it has been working fine til this...i will unplug stuff and see what happens but it happens when the engine is not even on and when the key is out of the ignition
