Default Pulse plugs????

Ok, I've heard some talk and read some ads about these pulse plugs..they deliver a lot better spark than conventional spark plugs, improve mpg, hp, and torque...has anyone tried these at all? have any intelligent feedback?
I wanna hear some feedback before I purchase and try these in my xB.

“… You will notice improved throttle responsiveness, more torque and better fuel economy. … In general, you should expect torque to increase by 4 to 12% and realize a significant improvement in fuel economy. …”

Automotive manufacturers would be the first ones to jump on a product that could actually do all that. When you increase torque, you decrease fuel economy. You cant do both at the same time.

They CLAIM that they get higher combustion chamber pressure. Now THAT if it is in fact true can destroy your engine rather quickly. One way of getting higher combustion chamber pressure is to have pre-ignition (detonation) and what that does to an engine?

Also they CLAIM that a 'standard' ignition circuit 'heats up' the elements before the plug occurs. Looking at that from and electrical point of view that is complete and utter nonsense.

NGK Irridiums... Best plugs for the xB motors. They even boost MPG's by 2-3. I tested it during a long trip.

most people dismiss spark plugs... they are expensive and do little.

That's why I was leary on spending the bucks for the Irridiums but I'm glad I did. I also added them to several other of my vehicles with similar results.

Ok, here is what I could find on them...they seem at least more credible than the grounding kit you plug from your battery to your car...or whatever that mess is

http://www.gizmag.com/go/7594/
and
http://www.greencarcongress.com/2006...plug_demo.html

any ideas?

I'll look around and see if I can locate the information on a gizmo that worked the same and was also an add on like http://www.greencarcongress.com/2006...plug_demo.html

they sold them at County and State fairs, flea markets by showing how they increased the rpms when added. what they actually did was change the dwell ( how many remember that?) and ignition timing. they were found to be a hoax/scam.

not saying these are , just that something similar were sold years ago claiming the same thing, tested by some of the same "experts".

they also look longer than a normal plug , so how would they fit with our coil-over plug arrangement?

Here are a few of those spark plug intensifiers, at least patents and links...

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4324219.html

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4324219.html

http://www.patentec.com/data/class/defs/313/118.html

Still looking for info on this thing from the '50's that you installed on the coil and/or one for each of the plugs , all it really was was a small capacitor that just changed the dwell and timing.

but you should get the idea that they have been around since Moses was driving through the desert to the promised land
