I was pulling into a 76 in the hood today and there were a few cops sitting out in front of a Shell station. Two bike cops and two squad cars. Well I pull in and see all of them looking at me. I get off the car and hear one of them say something "Scion". Then one cop said"so how you like those rims? How you like the ride?" I told him it was a little bumpy since it's lowered. I mean why lie he is looking right at the car. Well then he says " my friend here" pointing at another cop "wants to get one but in pink". I was like cool there not going to be retarded. We ended up talking about the price and how it rides and that he liked how they look. He then asked if I had any illegal modifications cause he was going to impound it so he could get it out of impound for himself. I laughed at him and said motor is all stock. They were all pretty cool. I said "well have a good day guys and went on about my business. I hope they remember me if they pull me over later.....

I've had the same thing happen to me... LOL it was actually on 4th of July. There were tons of cops trying to direct traffic so people can get out of a parking lot. As I was trying to maneuver myself to get out, the line in front of me wasn't moving, so I got stuck sitting in my car right next to 5 cops. I had my windows rolled down and the cops start talking about how my car is completely illegal. One of them begins to point out my roll call and starts naming the things that i have on my car. I was scared.... but then he was laughing and asked what size rims i had, and how i liked my car. I was joking with them the whole time. As i was leaving, he said "we can fine her for blue headlights, tint, no front license plate, intake, being too low... wow her whole car is illegal..." then i was moving a little bit faster and he said one more thing "ohh and for modified exhaust" i was just laughing and left.

 

I guess our Scions just somehow find the good side in some people lol.

If you were in Civics or something, I think you two might have had problems hahah!

 

haha nice, cops are regular people just like us man. heck im in the academy in santa ana to become a oc sheriff's deputy...once i am finished and assigned to active duty, im going to give you guys a bunch of fix-it tickets jk, i wont even be out in the streets for at least 2 yrs...we have to work the jails first

 

lol go to the trenton,NJ police academy within th3 first few weeks you have gun training and carry a gun. But like you said cops are human beings too. I have cops say hey nice ride..even if your tints are illegal lol. It was like my friend last night who was pulled over in his dads new zo6...the cop said why are you driving so fast and my friend said well officer look what im driving....cop laughed and walked away.

 

Just depends on who pulls you over. My friend works for OC Sheriff and he hates Hondas! His plates on his car say H8VTEC. He drives a DSM though. In a year or so I shouldn't have to worry much. I hope to be CDCR by then!

I got pulled over for having no front plate and after he wrote me a ticket for no front plate, having a cover over my back plate, and illegal tint he wanted to ask me about my car. Douche.

 

got pulled over this morning cause the cop couldnt tell if my licence plates said TZTER06 or TZIER06 due to my greddy plate cover so he called it in and then said have a nice day and good luck with the toaster
