Hey guys,

I just bought some rims from some guy on the classifieds on here, so I am not 100% sure on the size but it is my belief they are 19x8.0

The tires are Nitto NT555 235/35/19

I have a TRD Drop which I believe is 1" and the tires are rubbing on all 4 sides.

If I bought some 225/35/19's would this fix the problem? or am I going to need to do some work on my car?

Any Advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

the tires might be too big. im running a 9.5 in the rear, but on 225's with no issues...

I ran 19x8's with 225 tires and had no problems... I guess you got a LOW set of TRD's? I mean, with my TRD's I had before I got the coilovers, I couldn't scrub even if I wanted to...

I'm running 19x8's on 225/35 and have no rubbing issues. Dropped with Progress coilovers.

so I am assuming then a nice set of 225/35's would solve my problem.

I always thought my TRD springs were shorter than other people on the road, on the stock rims, I could only fit about 2 fingers between the outer fender and the tires. Now I can barely fit 1 finger between the tire and fender.

thanks :)

I dont know why people are having fitment/rubbing problems.

Ive had my 19x8 Konig unknowns with Nito NT555 235/35/19 for over a year and i am also dropped on TRD springs, and ive never had rubbing problems at all.

I also have 2 12's on the trunk and a turbo kit , which in general it all adds extra weight to the car as well.

I honestly dont know why you are rubbing.

What's the offset? That may be the problem instead of the springs or tires.

Yea, I was wondering why I was rubbing too, I wasnt expecting to rub on a TRD drop.

I have a 12" in the back, an amp and a 15lb NOS bottle and a turbo kit, so I'm right there with you on the overall weight gain.

Over the weekend I bought a rubber mallet and started banging away on the inner edge of the fenders.

I have eliminated rubbing on:
Passenger Side Front
Passenger Side Rear
Driver Side Rear

I still have rubbing on Driver Side Front, only when I hit bumps and when driving on the freeway sometimes. None of the other side rub no matter how hard I hit them.

I pulled out on the fender with my hands and tried to bend it out a little, but nothing seemed to work.

I hammered in that little area where the corner of the bumper is screwed on to the front quarter panel, the tire seemed to be rubbing there.

I put some Armor All on the tires so I could see residue where it was rubbing and honestly that was the only place I could find. :(
