I just sold my 19 inch rims, and i ordered some stechs and 18's that are on the way. But the bad thing is i cant find anyone to install the springs! A local place called Nu Image installed my trd's but now there sayin they cant install stechs. If u live around Wilmington North Carolina, and know how to install s techs, ill give u 200 cash. Maybe they dont want the liability involved with installing STechs

 

Nu Image installed them like 4 months ago, and whenever i called yesterday, they said the guy who always does the spring install moved and no longer works there.

 

I was going to say to post this in the 'regional areas' forum, but you already did!!

If you don't want to do the install yourself with a buddy, keep calling shops around you. I went 150 miles to get my Springs installed because the installer was highly recommended. (And he was cheaper than $200.) So for me, it was worth the mileage.

this isn't something that must be done by a performance oriented shop. it can pretty much be done by any decent garage that does similar work like replacing shocks and springs.

it isn't complicated, just alittle mechanical inclination and the right tools are all you need.

 

where you located? I'll do it if you're local.

 

yea ive tried all of them. Every body and auto shop in my city. No one wants to mess with them. Except one but they said it would be 500 dollars. INSANE.

arent the s techs cut differeently on the passenger side front so they will settle even or are they both the same?

 

i had mine put on at the dealership. i had s-techs put on my box and hotchkis put on the xA

Someone really needs to install these for the dude. I cant install springs but for that last few days when I come poking around the suspension forum all I read is..."Wanna make $200" and I get excited, before I remember that I've seen this thread before....

bmxScion is offering to do in Fayetteville - and I want to take him up on it for my tc but I am in Hilton Head for a bit longer and don't have my springs yet!
