Default ok so heres the deal...it is decision time

I have been riding on hotchkis springs for over 2 years 60K miles later...shocks are kinda bouncy or DEAD now!!!

I am going to plunge in the world of coilovers but I kinda want the TEIN SSP.
REASON why I want the SSP:
Proven company
Have uppper mounts
Bling factor of added EDFC (no so needed!)
Price $1200 shipped (from a sponsor seller here)

Here is the problem I have, Megan R have upper mounts and KSPORT have upper mounts. The KSPORT have almost the same spring rate as the TEIN. The Megan R have less of a spring rate in the rear than the TEIN.
So if I get either one of those brands I will save a few hundred bucks. The reason why I chose these brands is be cause they all have upper mounts. I want plug n play, I don't feel like taking old suspension parts apart. I'm getting to old for that!

So what would you do if you are in my situation? It would be nice to save those few bucks, but if needed quality wise I would get the TEIN.

I have heard nothing but praise for the ssp's. I would stick with them.

And as a side note, just in case you autox, dont run the edfc. I believe in most classes you are prohibited from running that part .

Yeah no AutoX, maybe one day though. Now I guess I need to muster up the energy to call and order the SSP. I already have my heart set on it but just trying to see if someone can persuade me otherwise.

I'd get the Basics if you aren't tracking it. I have no need for the damping control. I don't know about you though.

Well upper mounts don't make the ride that much different. It still will but it isn't a huge difference. I would just go with Basics instead since your not auto xing. I've had my Tein Basics for about 60k miles and took them off because of it bottoming out.

Have you looked at Progress or B&G coilovers?? They are pretty good companies too so maybe you should check them out especially B&G because they have lifetime warranty on their coilover.

...so? What's so special about using Tein mounts, and not the OEM mounts?

The pillowball mounts have more adjustment for camber than oem. They also take some compliance out of the mount so the strut moves less in that area.
