The only explanation is that your car is alive and you need to burn it before it takes over the planet.

You might have to adjust your brake's blow off valve.

you have an air bubble in your brake lines and need to most likely have your brakes bled

have you been braking hard recently?

It is your power brake booster. All of them make a sound of air rushing, because they draw air in the form of engine manifold vacuum.

An air bubble wouldn't cause that sort of problem. If he had air trapped in his system he would have a hard pedal making it more difficult than usual to depress the pedal. Like the others said, its your power booster unit and that sound means its working.

Actually, wouldn't an air bubble make it all mushy, but little actual braking bite?

Air trapped in the system prevents the fluid being properly compressed which is why it would result in a hard pedal. If your talking about a low pedal thats probably the master cylinder or a leak in the system, or maybe even both. If the return port in the master cylinder doesn't open up to let the fluid back in it could result in a low pedal or even a pedal that goes to the floor. I think I got that right lol but yeah if the return on the master cylinder isn't properly functioning thats more of the result.

That dosen't make sense, please explain.

Unless the tC brakes are different, air compresses more than the brake fluid, leading to a mushy pedal. It takes more distance to compress the air enough to supply the force necessary to apply the brakes. The only thing that would result in a hard brake pedal is if power isnt going to the braking system, allowing pressure to release each time the pedal is released.

Actually i'd been studying and realized i got some facts backwards and it does create a mushy (squishy) pedal lol i was thinking of something else..my bad
