got home today and the fedex man had already dropped off my new goodies.

they're the g-games 77w 1 piece wheels in 18x7.5 with a +42 offset. i got them from tj @ ngamotorsports(ngamotorsoports on slife) for the lowest price i could find anywhere. by far the best price and best service anywhere.
they didn't have the hub rings in stock, so he got them for me from a shop in the area and sent them priority mail out to me, so i'd have them by saturday. unfortunately, they don't have the rays lugs at all, so i had to get them from somewhere else, but i ended up getting a set of the black closed end 12x1.50 with locks. i also ordered a set of the michelin pilot ps2 tires in 225 40 18 that i'll have by monday hopefully. these aren't gonna go on until the spring time most likely. i have a dedicated 15" winter setup that's gonna go on in december prob, and until then i'm gonna most likely keep the stock wheels and tires on-i might be a shmuck and put these on for like 2 weeks just cuz i have no self control or discipline. i just waxed the wheels with meguiars gold class wax to keep them clean and shiny. some people like the wheel wax/polish stuff, but i haven't really found one i really like or think is worth the money, so i just use the same stuff i usually wax my car with. i use the gold class or nxt gen tech wax usually, but the gold class is thicker so that was why i used it on my wheels. brake dust really sux and would turn these things into a rusty looking orange color in about a week.

ok, so i went to put the wheels on today and my installer found a dent/nick in the wheel on the side of the lip. it's about a half inch up and down on the side, but because it's right at the lip, it causes the lip to bubble up. i'm so mad i didn't see it earlier, but i just never removed the blue mounting tape that came on the wheel. looking at the box, the handle is ripped, and there's a rip on the side of the box. tj from ngamotorsports is gonna take care of it for me tomoro morning i hope. as long as they have the wheels in stock, he's gonna have them send me a new one out.
i've had these things for almost 2 weeks and i just want them on my car already. i waited cuz i was getting springs done, so i didn't want to have the wheels put on and then removed again for the springs/shocks intall. anyways, here's the scratch/bump:

TJ is gonna have fedex come by tomoro morning and pick up this wheel and then Rays will release the new wheel for shipment to me. I'm not happy about this whole situation, but i'm very please with how TJ handled it for me. Great service and communication. if anyone needs a set of g-games or rays wheels, he's def the one to talk to.

i wish it was getting sorted. g-games won't do anything about it TJ said. they said that it looks like it got damaged when the installer tried to bang a weight onto the front of the wheel. i told TJ that it was ridiculous because there was NO CHANCE that my installer would try and hammer a weight onto the front of the wheel. he is the most high end store in our area, who is an authorized retailer for brabus, oettinger, and most of the other high end wheel companies. he uses only a touchless mounting system and has been doing high end cars for over 10 years, so i know it's not his fault. also, if u line up the box with the wheel, the dent in the box is right where the dent in the wheel is. i was told earlier in the day that they were going to send me a call tag or something and pick it up either tonight or tomoro. i waited to hear back from TJ about it, but i didn't hear from him, so i called at 545. that's when i found out that g-games or their distributor or whoever decided that it was the weight being banged onto the wheel which caused the damage. i wish i had heard this from TJ earlier, but he never called me back. he was supposed to also forward me the response that he got from g-games saying that they were blaming it on the installer and the weight he tried to put on the wheel, but i never got that either. basically at this point i've already filed a claim with the credit card company. fedex won't cover the claim and TJ is basically saying it's out of his hands and that i'm gonna have to call g-games myself. my only option was calling the credit card company and basically disputing one out of the 4 wheels. i could have been a dick and disputed the whole damned charge just out of spite and hold back the money from them for a few months, but i was honest and told them that only 1 wheel was damaged, so they divided the payment by 4 and are holding back 1/4 of the total. the worst part about all this is that i'm sitting here without wheels. my 2 back tires are finished-there's like very little tread on them. i didn't change them because i was waiting on these wheels to put on the car. now i'm stuck with 3 good wheels and 1 bad one that i don't know what to do with because this dispute could take 3-6 months. basically, they're trying to stick it up my a$$ and hoping that i'll just deal with it. unfortunately for them, i'm not a sucker. i'll never deal with any of these companies ever again and i'd recommend trying to deal with anyone else if at all possible.
That sucks about the damage, but nice choice on the rims. I'm waiting for some money to order me a set of those. While I'm waiting, I'm trying to decide which color I like more for my CSM tC: silver or gunmetal...
those wheels were the first wheels that i fell in love with, the only thing that kills them in my opinion is the dual bolt pattern. i think it makes it look really tacky. however they are still clean lookin..,
