ok i was trying to installinjen cai, but i just could get the second pipe in... so i left it as a short ram, how do i know i didnt do anything wrong, and what kind of sound should i hear coming from it?? and how can i make sure i have no leaks...
right now i took it for a test drive and it sounded like it growled, i thought i was supposed to hear like air sucking in or something..... i think im freaking out, im scared of going home...

all you can do is make sure your worm clamps are tight and hopefully you didnt drop or damage your intake sensor when doing the swap!
like i said louder when you have s/r and more whistle /suction noise when you have cai.
youll be fine on the way home just enjoy that noise its the sound of a new upgrade

im, just wondering if this growl is normal, the little sensor seems to tick alot louder too... ill have some one install my pulley tomorrow, and have him do the rest, i dont care about paying 100+ bucks to make sure everything is done right....
from what it sounds like you did everything fine, just the sound is new to you thats why ou think something is wrong.
like 1AZ said, make sure your clamps are tight... there is not much you can mess up with cai.
if you are really concerned, go find a video on youtube of what cai sounds like..

lol, nice, drink up man,... but getting back to what everyone is saying, i think everything is fine...
with a short ram it will sound more like an aggressive growl as you described... as far as installing the rest of the pipe to make it a CAI, remove driver side wheel, pull back the shroud that has like 50 million screws in it, and you should have sufficient angle to reach and manuever the piping in there

well that second pipe is a b***h to get in. I scratched mine up a little. I also bought the Dr. isotope panel for the intake didnt fit exactly right just an inch or 2 off. But i made it work with an added bracket. But search injen intake install some guy posted a great how to with colored pics. I think the brakcet on my intake was off a lil bit or the mold for the dr.isotope piece was off a lil. No biggy im still gonna get my short shifter from him with all the great reviews and custon shift *****.

I installed the Injen CAI about 2 weeks ago, got the same results. At first i thought I had screwed up, but the 2nd pipe doesnt fit down into the wheel well. SO, dont fret. Also, your getting better performance this way (shorter distance for the air to flow), as well youll hear the sucking after a little while. Its not immediate. However, you will feel a def. increase in the power and response. Just be sure your filter SEAL is SEALED. I had a friend help me, and he did it wrong.. nearly sucked in a damn leaf. But you shouldnt have that problem.
