Default Ok, I cant decide... rear spoiler or no rear spoiler?

Well, I am getting ready to pull the trigger and buy an Xb. I have narrowed down my color choice to either the NBM or the BCM. What I am really trying to decide is whether to go with a spoiler or not. I have looked at photos on the site, and I still can't make up my mind. I like the clean look without it, but I also think it adds something to the back end.
Soooo... I am asking for opinions. Spoiler or no spoiler?
Thanks in advance for the help! I can't believe that I am still hung up on this one issue!

Go to a dealership and look at them in person, that may help you decide. I also think it looks a little goofy on a stock xB with hubcaps and the jacked up rear ride height. I'd put my first accessory $$ into lowering springs and new wheels/tires; in fact that's what I'm doing, my Tanabe springs are going on a week from tomorrow. (Putting my money where my mouth is.)

I should clarify. I have driven it twice, and I am going to put wheels on it, and the lowering springs. So the hubcaps and the stock height is out of the equation. I am just stuck on the spoiler. I think it looks good both ways. I am just worried that the spoiler takes away from the clean look...
Thanks for the reply. This is the kind of feedback I am looking for.

KY Chuck beat me to the punch. Go with the Rumion spoiler, unless you're looking for the aggressive "tuner" look.

BTW, drop that box Chuck! Seriously, looking good, are those 18" wheels?

No, I am not looking for the "tuner" look. BTW, what size rims are do you have KY Chuck?

Since you have seen NBM with both Rumion and factory wings... I prefer no wing. The wing looks like it was an afterthought and just does not go with the body shape enough for me.

wo i was in this same exact boat when i bought mine. i went without the spoiler on mine just cause once you do it. you can't go back to not having it. you can always do the spoiler at anytime. it is not a warrenty item it either works or it doesn't work. so my suggestion is go without it and then get it added after the fact. but would also make one other suggestion is take a look at the DIY ( do it yourself) mudflaps. those will save your paint and cleaness of the side of your car.

I think a great part of the desired look depends on your wheel choice; jimmbomb's looks great with the black wheels & polished lips - (excellent choice and what I would do), however tyler65's looks good w/o the spoiler because his gunmetal wheels draw more attention and balance to the basic lines of the xB.

For better input, it would be nice to know which wheels you are going with (including diameter & finish). For example, both xB colors you like look great with gold/bronze wheels, but for them I would go with no spoiler or the rumion spoiler.

Unless you are forced to finance the rear spoiler if you want it, I would agree with ibnboxin: buy the xB, and take the time to make the right decision for you (not others).

you have to get a spoiler no matter what.. it evens out the rear.. the window being at an aggle not the the old xb where it was straight up and down..

either the aerotour spoiler and the USDM spoiler..

Thank you all for the replies. I am looking at the 19" TRD's, or these from TRDSparks:

the one I suggested uses stock mounting points so you could include it in your eventual rotation people joked about.

rdrude unless you are buying to have it added to payment. i would say go aftermarket on the rims and tires. way better options on them.

Rob,

If I went with rims from the dealer, those are definitely the ones I'd buy - much cheaper than the overpriced TRD rims. However, is it worth spending money for tires that are just an inch larger than the stock tires, which come with the xB's price? That's actually a question for myself too, as I am shopping for rims/tires - I think I'm going either 18" or 19" for that reason. Might as well go bigger if you're spending more already.

Buy the xB without a spoiler and buy the spoiler online for 2/3 to 1/2 off the dealer price. I just picked up a painted spoiler for my xD for 1/2 price from scionpartspeople.com.
