I would say shell out the extra cash and get a basic aftermarket deck. you wont regret it. The sound quality to me is horrible on the stock unit. It seems like it cuts a lot of low frequencies out.
i just need a good cd player, with great quality, nice features....that will give me a great sound for my stock speakers, and subs. i dont need a dvd player, anything that works with a mp3 player or a touch screen. it would be great if someone could give me a list of models, and i'll take a look at them. thanks
any info on the pros and cons of these models would be great also.

i just installed my Alpine CDA-9885 and it sounds awesome. I got the ipod adapter with it and it works way better than the factory ipod radio.
The Pioneer radio that speddlysmitt is talking about is also another good one. I just installed one in my girlfriends truck.
