I got the standard CD/radio with my xB but didn't get an instruction manual for it. OK, I know setting a radio is not rocket science, but with all those buttons it sure would be useful.

My guess is that the installer trashed the instruction manual when he installed the stock CD/radio at the dealership. I don't see any info in the xB owner's manual for the CD/radio. Did you get a separate manual for the CD/radio?

 

yes, there is a seperate manual for the radio/cd player. I'd go back and get it from the dealer.

 

I was able to order one of these from www.scion.com using their live chat option. They mailed it out the same day and it arrived in about a week. I have to say, there were only one or two features I hadn't figured out by the time it arrived. Still, it is nice to have..

Text scrolling is exactly what I was looking for - unfortunately it doesn't

 

i know everything about the single disc cd player. i read the manual twice!

anyway, you can borrow mine if you want, or the dealer will give you one if you let them know you didn't get one.

text will not scroll, however you can see up to 24 characters by holding down the text button for 2 seconds. that way you can kind of tell what song is playing most of the time. i think it's kind of weak that it just doesn't automatically scroll the whole title, but whatever. at least it shows text.
