I need a better and stronger serpentine belt. When my car hits boost all i get is loud and annoying belt squeal. I tried tightening the alternator to make the belt tighter, but it just wasn't enough, it still squeals and its getting very annoying. Does anybody know of an upgraded serpentine belts??

 

SOUNDS TO ME THE BELT IS STILL LOOSE...HAVE HAD THAT PROBLEM BEFORE ON OTHER CARS...CHECK THE TENSION ON THE BELT..IF U CAN PUSH DOWN ONTHE BELT QUIT AWAYS THEN IT IS DIFFENTLY LOOSE....

 

belt seems to be very tight, but i did notice that the power steering runs on a different belt, does this one have adjustment??

 

The power steering pump sits on a arm attached to a slide bracket it is adjustable so you can change the tension of the belt. There are two bolt that need to be loosend in order to slide the pump around, there is one that is accessable from the spokes of the pulley and there is another on the arm.
