I used the 3M before, its weak. captainlaziness 01-31-2008, 03:40 AM yep my suede sagged too i didnt use the 90 tho always happens during the winter.. Weird, I figured heat would be the cause of sagging. BuckeyeBrad 01-31-2008, 04:54 AM ha that would suck to have it just sag out of no where SVicksTC 01-31-2008, 05:07 AM I heard of people use contact cement (sp) correct me if im wrong but ive heard of that.... STNC 01-31-2008, 05:58 AM I heard of people use contact cement (sp) correct me if im wrong but ive heard of that.... Yeah, a few people have, such a neothin amp0804 01-31-2008, 03:46 PM Yes I used contact cement on my pillars and so forth but as far as your headliner goes get some really good high grade upholstery glue. The ____ you buy in stores will eventually give out. Gravity does not work in its favor. tweetertc 01-31-2008, 08:06 PM yeah... the 3m stuff i have found kinda sucks... when we do headliners at my shop...we use a high temp upholstery glue... we have found when the temp in the summer gets in the upper 90's the headliner will tend to start to sag and then we have to do it all over again... with the high temp glue, myself and all the other shop cars have had suede headliners for 2+ years with out a problem... captainlaziness 02-01-2008, 12:38 AM Can either of you guys supply a brand name? Or an online retailer? tweetertc 02-01-2008, 02:04 AM the stuff my upholstery guy carries is called headerbond 215F is made local here in Oak Lawn Il,...the number of the manufacturer is 708 499 4240... worst case is all else fails and anyone wants some... just pm me and i can buy it and ship it to you.. my cost is like ~7.50 a can.... but you can do the whole headliner and pillars with 2-3 cans... SVicksTC 02-01-2008, 04:45 PM thats some good info to have... good looking out tweetertc |
