yeah, watts mean nothing...i've setup 50 watt. systems powering 10in. subs that were more than sufficient..i mean dont get me wrong, if you building a system, get a large amount of watts, and a sufficient speaker so you can adjust more....but a small system can sound just as good as a moderately sized system....
if thats the only thing that they can find to make fun of the tc about then thats a good thing..lol

Nothing wrong with such statements if you quantify them adequately, but as written, it's false.
In some scenarios 35 watts can sound better than 350 watts, whether connected to a 4" or 15" driver. It depends on the entire system and what you're trying to accomplish.

sorry you missed the semi-sarcasm boat...
however 35watts will not sound like 350watts, unless you do some things like a folded horn. or i should say the correct enclosure

As for 35 vs 350 watts, I'd rather have a clean 35w with an efficient pro sound driver operating within it's optimum bandwidth (freq. filtered), than a noisy 350w amp powering an inefficient woofer being pushed outside it's optimal range.
Point being, a watt on one system won't necessarliy sound like a watt from another system, and watts are only one aspect of the much larger equation.
Not arguing with you, just trying to ensure the threadstarter understands.
