Default Tire Pressure for different Tires

Should the tire pressure reference on the inside door be used for all types of tires? I put on 16" inch winter tires and wondering if I should follow the reference or go by what the tire says. There also is no 16" option on the reference sheet. The tires say a max of 50 psi and the door says way under that for 17 and 18"s.

Any one else put on 16's for winter and if so, what psi you running on?

go by the door sticker and keep an eye on the tire wear. adjust accordingly. ( at least that's what I'm doing with my 18's )

go by the tire, the tires are rated for what they hold, what it says on the door is completely irrelevant because you have different tires (assuming you do since you said you're talking about your winter tires)

The PSI's are tire/size dependent. I would need the complete MMY of your Scion, your tire size, and the "Service Description" of the tire in order to help.

go for what the doors say.... just because a tire is rated at some psi.. that means it's the most it can hold.. not what the tire is supposed to be at...

you guys are insane if you have aftermarket rims and tires and go with what the door says, the door reccomendation .... is fot the factory rims and tires, so you are sayin that if i have 19" rims and 30 or 35 series tires on i should still run 32/29 psi thats crazy, youll be riding on the rim just about, go with what the tire says and use good judgement.
