get components up front and use the amp for those, leave the rears stock. You'll be much happier.

You will need spacers for the front so they do not hit the window. You can make them yourself or buy them on ebay.

or ED. I'd spend all your money on the front components personally.

Asking for an opinion? That's debatable, it'd be "good" to some, but not so much for others. What about bass? What matters is whether or not you'd be pleased with that system, and that'll really depend on what your expectations are. If you just want to get decent sound in the car (but w/o sub-bass), then that system is a bit of an upgrade over the stock system. If you're an audiophile with a hi-end home system who wants a similar experience in the car, then you'd be VERY disappointed with that system.

So what is it you really want?

Look into some component speakers from CDT, Rainbow, Mmats, DLS, Focal, etc.

I also agree on just getting nice components up front. Don't worry about the rear.

Ok, good to know.

What is it you don't like about the stock system? What is it you're wanting to improve? I ask because the system you listed would be a lot like stock, only a bit clearer and louder. If that's your only goal, it could be accomplished for much less than $700.

get the PG RSD component set for just under $90, an amp that can do about 150x2@4ohms to power them and a decent head unit. if your stuck on alpine then at least get the 9887.
