Default Stock 2006 Scion tC tire pressure?

I have all of the tires from the dealership at 31 psi right now but the tires say 51? (Bridgestone Potenza 92). What is the optimal tire pressure?

ITs not about that. It is about diluting the search feature on a forum by having too many repetitive posts asking the same question. And, trying to help someone help themselves by telling them where to find their answers. Obviously it was handled and all was good.

I have been using forums for years. Forums are a powerful source of information, but only when people put information in. I'm sick of people on forums treating every question like it's stupid. If you don't want to take the time to answer, then don't.

In this case I used the search feature. It brought me to this thread. But like so many other threads, I find members spending more time belittling the person asking the question than it takes to actually answer the question.

I was actually in the same boat as the guy asking the question...I'm checking my daughter's tire pressure...I look in the door frame - no sticker...I go to the owners manual - no manual...I ask her where it is - she says "I dunno?"...I think, "this is a simple question, I should be able to find the answer in about 2 seconds on a scion forum"...I come here and instead of finding a quick answer to an easy question, I gotta read someone get the run around for 4-5 posts before he finally gets an answer.

There was more time and effort spent on berating the guy than it would have taken to just answer the question. You want to talk about "diluting" the search feature...

Oh and by the way, this is the only thread on this forum that specifically talks about optimum tire pressures. Everything else talks about the pressure sensors themselves. So don't give me the lecture about teaching people to help themselves. I'm sure at some point someone gave you the answer to a question they thought was obvious or stupid.

There's no reason to bump old threads. The answer was there, that should have been enough.
