Default Wheel noob here, need some help

Ok so...19x8 +35offset

I know the 19 stands for the wheel size.
But what is the 8 stand for? What does the offset mean?
Thanks!

HAHAH i was in your place once. . .the 8 is the width of the wheel. . .The offset is how far out (or in) the wheel will stick out within the wheel well. . .It has to do with how it is attached to the mounting surface. . .
