Tire Pressure for Non-OEM tires (05 tC)

OF course, if you do autox it, I recommend 43 front, 39 rear. But, be sure to lower it back to spec after each event, or you will wear the tires badly and unevenly!
It is obvious that I am itching for autox to start back up this spring huh? :D

Regardless of what the tire places say, run 32 front/29 rear. The cars weight distribution is where those numbers come from and you will get optimal wear characteristics that way.
If you run a tad higher to get a tiny bit more mileage, I would go 35/32, but I wouldnt go much higher. I ran the first set of tires on mine at that for a long while, and it was ok, but you could start seeing that it wore in the middle slightly more than the edges.
And of course, rotate at every oil change.

Been running my stock Yokos at 36F / 32R since new. Now after 2 yrs and 10k miles, wear is fairly even, actually a bit worn on the edges, more than in the center, since I"m fairly aggressive with corners/turns. Better mileage & performance than the stock reco pressure from scion/toyota, so I'm sticking with it, and have been doing the same on all my cars for over 30years.
