tCtCtC 02-23-2008, 06:12 PM If you have the money.....
Coilovers
CRUZtc8 02-23-2008, 06:14 PM yep if you have the money go for coilovers
leggsbro 02-23-2008, 06:14 PM If you have the money.....
Coilovers
x2
If you dont have the money TEIN S-Techs drop 2.5" but you have to worry about wearing out your shocks.
outlaw5582 02-23-2008, 06:19 PM i got the money for coilovers so which ones do you recommend?? i have read up alot and have my eyes pretty set on the tein ss ones but alot of people have different opinions about them. especially as a daily driven car

heard of any probs wit them over time?? whats the spring rate??
tCtCtC 02-23-2008, 06:33 PM For which?
I havent heard of any problems at all for either.
But I would get the JIC's over the Tein's in a heartbeat.
outlaw5582 02-23-2008, 06:35 PM and why is that??
whats the difference??
tCtCtC 02-23-2008, 06:50 PM Better overall quality IMO
07specTC 02-23-2008, 07:08 PM What do you want out of the car?
If it's mostly for looks then simple $100 springs will accomplish that.
No use dropping nearly $1000 for looks.
If you plan on doing any racing then I would look into coilovers or a good set of matched springs/shocks.
Just lowering with springs would probably provide the most comfortable ride.
Springs and after market shocks would probably ride a bit stiffer.
Full coilovers are probably the stiffest.
Some people prefer a really stiff ride and some don't; that's why you get all these mixed opinions on whats good and what isn't.
Aroddalobster 02-23-2008, 07:28 PM yep, if you think you'll be autoxing a lot, or theres situations where you have to adjust the heigh of your ride, then coilover's the thing for you. otherwise, if you just want it for looks, springs and mayyybe shocks will be good enough for you.

I hope you're aware that the JIC coilovers are $1900...
outlaw5582 02-23-2008, 08:10 PM ok that narrows it down to springs and shocks cuz im lookin for a stiffer ride and plan on goin to some shows this spring before i move to Germany. sayin that, what springs and shocks do you recommend??
Yanki01 02-23-2008, 08:14 PM hotchkis springs with koni yellows.
07specTC 02-23-2008, 08:16 PM For something close to OEM and probably the cheapest, I say whatever springs you want and Tokico blues.
robtheqb2003 02-23-2008, 08:26 PM ^^^ Great price and great quality. H techs or hotchkis springs to go with them...
