i don't have coilovers but i think if you are putting them in you must transfer the old mounts and stuff onto the new coilovers (unless your coilovers came with new mounts).

please correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes.

I had the H&R coilovers on our company car and it uses the stock hats. You need to remove the stock tops on all four corners and reuse them on top of the H&R coilovers. H&R provides replacement nuts for the top of the new shock.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

we have to take them into a tire shop to have them compress the shock down so we can put the upper mounts on, our shock compressor was too big but oh well i will get them on soon

Compressor?

I did them in my garage by hand... Are your sure you and a buddy cant just push down a little to thread the nut on? It's been a while so I don't remember how tight it was. It should be straight forward though...

lower the coilovers all the way, that will give you enough room to thread the nut, then once yuou get it on the car the weight of the car will allow yuou to thread the nut tight. thats what i did with my rears

also on the fronts make sure the spring hat moved freely, if it doesnt you will get a really annoying popping sound when driving.

yes they are finally on, thanks davedave we did that and it worked, duhhhhh i couldnt believe i did not try that before, but how do you lower the fronts, do you raise the rings or lower the rings, cause the rear you have to raise the rings in order to lower, is that the same as the front coilovers??

the rings should be the same for the front, if you want a lower drop you bring the rings down
i havent adjusted the rear in a looong time but the fronts i know to drop it you bring the ring down
