xB1 to xD
I have an 06 xB and am considering going to the xD. The xD comes with all the little features that I wanted, but weren't available. My two main questions are:
How does the front legroom compare between the two? In my xB, my right knee is jammed into the dashboard and I was hoping the xD had either a better shaped dash, or the driver's seat could adjust further back. I'm 6'1", and I don't need to be nice to the people sitting behind me.
How does the car handle highway driving? Is it affected by crosswinds and speeding SUV's? Or is it too bouncy? (I don't expect it to be great, but better than the xB would be nice. At least it has standard cruise control)
Any comments are greatly appreciated!

My XD has lots of leg room, I'm only 5'10", but there's plenty to spare and my seat isn't all the way back. I've rode passenger in my buddies XB, my XD does seem to be roomier inside. The stock ride was pretty good, it had some body roll, but rode really plush over bumps...I say "rode" in past tense because I recently added the DF210 springs and 18" wheels with 225/40 rubber. This makes this car handle like a sports car, ride isn't too bad but stiff, you definately feel every feature of the road. I think if you go test drive one you'll be hooked. At least go sit in one.
I am 6'1" and was at the dealer this past weekend. my knee did not even touch the dash on the xD. i sat in the xD and, i said this in another post, that the xD seems like the best car to go into after an xb1. if you look at the interior of the xd, you will see how different the dash area is.

when i sat in the xd, i had no problems with my knee hitting or coming close to the dash. i didn't take it for a test drive but sitting in it was definitely comfortable.
if you get a chance, for kicks, sit in the xb2. my right knee rests against the "shifter console" that's connected to the dash. sitting in there for 5 minutes was uncomfortable, i dont know how i would hold up on a road trip in the xb2 =///
