Here is the deal. I've got some 18" TRDs with 215/35/18 Pirellis. They are way too low profile for my liking. What other 18" sizes have people run on an xB without rubbing issues. I'm leaning toward 205/40 or 215/40 but not sure how much it will affect ride/accleration/speedo. Thanks in advance for any and all input. :bow:

Well the beefier sidewall will certainly improve the ride, and since you're back at stock height, there's no real worry of rubbing. As far as the speedo... yea, it'll be off a touch, but it's already off with 18s in general.

The only worry spot for rubbing would be in the front of the rear wheelwells. It got tight there when I had 215/45/17s

I'd do Falkens... a friend of mine is having a hell of a time with bad bead seals on her Toyos.

Am running 215/40/18. Actually getting new ones tmrw put on. No rubbing issues at all. Also running spacers in back as well. This is an odd size. Alot more brand options with the 35 series.

Have 10mm rears. Rim offset is either 40 or 42. Can't recall. Am getting Nankang H- rated tires put on tmrw @ $79.00 ea. Figure with the harder rubber, will get more miles out of them. Did some reading on them and seem to be ok. Anybody???

I really like my 215/40/18's they ride WAY smoother than the 215/35's and no rubbing of any concern with a 2.5+ inch drop and 40MM offset 7.5 inch wheels. (they slightly touch the inside of the wheel well area when the steering is turned all the way left or right...no one operates at full lock except at the very occaisional parking lot...doesn't rub hard enuf even at that to cause any trouble)

Kumho ASX's I have them and they rock I got tired of shredding Nankangs

I'm looking at Kuhmos too. Just depends on what available in a couple months when I start shopping.
My current set up is stock springs with 1/2" rear spacers so I won't have any issues there. The only real downside would be the power loss from a taller tire and added weight .
