I have got a weird question to put out there. I currently looking for a 06 TC RS2. How come every RS 2 I find on Ebay has a salvage title?

 

The same reason tC insurance rates are so much higher than Buick Lacrosse insurance rates.

 

 

tc's seem to get totalled very easily when they get into accidents

 

repair costs on a tC are high especially for front end collisions, so its easy to get a salvage title. for example: the cost to replace the ABS unit behind the passenger headlight is an arm & leg because of the pump unit itself and the wiring harness.

 

costs are average just like any other mid range priced vehicle, excluding luxury cars that have laser cruise, parking sonar, or a very cramped engien bay. Ebay is just a qood place for people who buy wrecked tcs to sell their chopped/repaired cars. Same thing as a used car dealership, most of the cars have been in wrecks and car fax usually will never know

 

i feel the same way...but i would buy a salvaged one...its a coin toss though

 

cause you can get more for a private salvage sale on ebay than you could through a dealer system
