like i got my oiled changed and about two weeks after it was about a quart and a half low.. so i filled it up and within a week it was about a quart low and today which is about a month its about half a quart.. do you think possibly the motor is not taking the synthetic and its too thin??
Try not to drive it hard and see if that effects the oil consumption. Your car should not smoke. Black smoke is caused by running too rich. when oil burns and comes out the exhaust it is a blue color.
I recommend getting a piece of cardboard about 2 feet x 4 feet and lining it up with a known point under your car so you can find where it is coming from. As far as your car running lean it may just be a cooinky dink that it started happening after your oil change but I doubt it. I would check to see if maybe your MAF sensor was disconnected by accident or something to possibly cause you to run lean. Sometimes the mechanics can get their shirt snaged on something and accidentally pop connectors out and stuff. Good luck
edit: nevermind on the MAF sensor if it was disconnected you should have a CEL
